Every command available on the menu bar is also available in the toolbar, or the right click context-menu. To view descriptions of the items in the toolbar, simply rest your pointer over them and hints will pop up.
You may want to use the toolbar for rapid access to commands. You can also enable or disable certain toolbar features: To do so:
